Step 6 asks us to be entirely ready to have God remove our defects of character, specifically judgement and blame. Judgment is a habit we acquired over time to protect ourselves, and blame is a coping mechanism we use to transfer to someone else our own vulnerable emotional states. In this retreat, we will look at how with our Higher Power's help, we can move from judgment and blame to compassion and personal responsibility.
